Adelaide Clemens
Adelaide Clemens is an acclaimed actress known for her emotionally resonant and commanding performances across film, television, and stage. She most recently starred opposite Adam Driver in Kenneth Lonergan’s “Hold on to Me Darling” at the Lucille Lortel Theatre, and recently wrapped production on Alex Gansa and Howard Gordon’s upcoming pilot “Cuba Confidential,” opposite Jake Lacy and Peter Sarsgaard.
Clemens earned widespread critical praise for her breakout role as Tawney Talbot in Sundance TV’s Peabody Award-winning drama, “Rectify.” Her additional television credits include FX’s “Under the Banner of Heaven,” opposite Andrew Garfield and Daisy Edgar-Jones; “Justified: City Primeval,” opposite Boyd Holbrook and Timothy Olyphant; and HBO’s “Parade’s End,” opposite Benedict Cumberbatch and Rebecca Hall. An accomplished stage actress, she reunited with Sir Tom Stoppard for his Lincoln Center Theater production of “The Hard Problem.”
A festival darling, she was lauded for her grounded and vulnerable performance in the indie feature “The Swearing Jar,” which premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival. Her additional film credits include “To The Stars,” directed by Martha Stephens (Sundance), “The Automatic Hate” (SXSW), and Martha Coolidge’s “Music, War And Love,” opposite Leo Suter.
