Bevin Bru
Cuban American actress, writer and producer Bevin Bru continues to solidify her place as one of Hollywood’s rising talents. Best known for her breakout role as Angelique Martin in Season 2 of The CW’s hit series “Batwoman,” Bru is currently starring this season on ABC’s highly anticipated drama “R.J. Decker” as Detective Melody “Mel” Abreu.
Born and raised in Miami, Florida, Bru discovered her passion for acting at a young age. She later moved to New York City to study at AMDA before relocating to Los Angeles to pursue her career. Her growing list of film and television credits includes “57 Seconds” alongside Morgan Freeman, Catherine Hardwick’s anticipated “Street Smart,” “Head Count,” along notable guest-starring roles on “Will Trent,” “Landman,” “Rescue: HI-Surf” and “The Rookie: Feds.”
Expanding her creative footprint behind the camera, Bru recently wrote, starred in, and produced the highly anticipated short film, “Park La Brea,” further establishing herself as a multifaceted storyteller with a distinct voice.
Inspired by growing up with two strong mothers, Bru is a passionate advocate for the LGBTQ+ community and remains deeply committed to telling inclusive, authentic and meaningful stories across film and television.
