Scott Speedman

Scott Speedman continues to captivate audiences on both the big and small screens.

Currently, Speedman stars as the titular character in ABC’s “R.J. Decker.” The series follows former newspaper photographer and ex-con R.J. Decker, who reinvents himself as a private investigator in South Florida, solving strange and often dangerous cases with the help of his journalist ex, her police officer wife and an enigmatic woman from his past.

Speedman can also be seen as Dr. Nick Marsh on ABC’s “Grey’s Anatomy.” After first joining the series as a guest star in 2018, he reprised the role and has since become a prominent recurring presence. This spring, Speedman was also featured in Season 2 of Netflix’s “Running Point” with Kate Hudson. Speedman guest-starred as Luke McShay, a member of a rival family that owns the L.A. Snowcats hockey team.

In 2024, Speedman headlined Peacock’s thriller series “Teacup,” opposite Yvonne Strahovski. Inspired by Robert McCammon’s novel “Stinger,” the series follows a disparate group of people in rural Georgia forced to unite against a mysterious threat. In 2021, he also appeared in Season 3 of Netflix’s hit series “You” as Matthew, a reserved and mysterious neighbor whose guarded exterior masks deep emotional complexity. In 2016, Speedman joined TNT’s “Animal Kingdom,” alongside Ellen Barkin, where he played her trusted second-in-command in the critically acclaimed crime drama. In 2012, Speedman starred in the ABC military drama “Last Resort” as Lt. Cmdr. Sam Kendal. Speedman is best known for his breakout role as Ben Covington on the Golden Globe®-nominated series “Felicity,” which ran for four seasons from 1998 to 2002, opposite Keri Russell.

In film, Speedman appeared in David Cronenberg’s 2022 film “Crimes of the Future,” opposite Viggo Mortensen, Léa Seydoux and Kristen Stewart, which premiered at the Cannes Film Festival that year. Also in 2022, Speedman starred in Lionsgate’s thriller “Cellar Door,” opposite Jordana Brewster. Prior to that, he was featured in Lena Dunham’s “Sharp Stick,” which debuted at the 2022 Sundance Film Festival; Lina Roessler’s “Best Sellers,” opposite Aubrey Plaza and Michael Caine in 2021; and Ricky Tollman’s 2019 film “Run This Town,” opposite Ben Platt, Mena Massoud, Nina Dobrev and Damian Lewis.
