‘Celebrity Wheel of Fortune’ Scores on Friday Nights With Biggest Total Viewer Audience in Nearly Two Years

Show Is No. 1 Program of the Night in New Timeslot With Ryan Seacrest Joining as Host Alongside Vanna White

  • Kicking off an exciting new season, “Celebrity Wheel of Fortune” delivered 3.55 million Total Viewers and a 0.31 rating among Adults 18-49.
  • With Ryan Seacrest joining Vanna White as host in the show’s new time period (Friday nights at 8 p.m.), “Celebrity Wheel of Fortune” stood as the No. 1 program of the night, rising by double digits in Total Viewers over its previous season premiere (+17% – vs. 3.04 million).
  • The season premiere episode scored the show’s best audience among Total Viewers since 12/13/23.

  • The show also scored ABC’s strongest Friday performance at 8 p.m. among Total Viewers with original entertainment telecasts since 5/17/24 (with “Jeopardy Masters”).

  • Head-to-head at 8 p.m., “Celebrity Wheel of Fortune” led its closest network competition, CBS’s “Big Brother,” by double digits among Total Viewers (+82% – 3.55 million vs. 1.95 million).
  • The high-energy premiere, featuring “Dancing with the Stars”’s Derek Hough, Bruno Tonioli and Jenna Johnson Chmerkovskiy, also helped push ABC to a win for the night among the broadcast networks in Total Viewers (3.02 million).

“Celebrity Wheel of Fortune” returns Friday, Oct. 3 (8 p.m. on ABC, streaming next day on Hulu). Host Ryan Seacrest and Vanna White welcome author and actor Retta, singer and actor Joey McIntyre and actor Oliver Hudson competing to win BIG money for a charity of their choice.
