‘Dancing with the Stars: The Next Pro’ Series Debut Tops 5 Million Total Viewers

High-Octane Opener Is ABC’s Strongest Summer Series Premiere in Six Years

Show Is TV’s Best Alternative Debut This Season

  • “Dancing with the Stars: The Next Pro” debuted with 5.33 million Total Viewers and an 0.86 rating among Adults 18-49 after three days of viewing on ABC, Disney+, Hulu and digital platforms.
  • The high-energy “Dancing with the Stars” spinoff, hosted by Season 34 champion Robert Irwin, was ABC’s strongest summer series debut across genres in six years — since 7/15/20.
  • On linear, “Dancing with the Stars: The Next Pro” was the 1 program of the night in both Total Viewers (4.42 million) and Adults 18-49 (0.47 rating), standing as the best alternative series premiere this television season across broadcast and cable (excluding those inflated by NFL lead-ins).
  • “Dancing with the Stars: The Next Pro” was the 1 most social entertainment program of the night.

On the next “Dancing with the Stars: The Next Pro” (airing Monday, July 27, at 8 p.m. EDT/PDT on ABC and streaming next day on Disney+ and Hulu), the remaining dancers face one of the toughest “Dancing with the Stars” challenges: a group performance. Mentored by Britt Stewart, they must master a high-intensity routine in just hours, putting teamwork, timing and resilience to the test.
