‘GOOD MORNING AMERICA’ WINS WEEK IN TOTAL VIEWERS

‘GMA’ Grows Week to Week in Total Viewers and Adults 25-54 and Year to Year in Adults 18-49

Season to Date, ‘GMA’ Ranks as the No. 1 Morning Newscast in Total Viewers for the 14th Season in a Row

“Good Morning America” ranked No. 1 in Total Viewers (2.708 million) for the week of Oct. 20, 2025, based on Live+Same Day Big Data Plus Panel Program Ratings from Nielsen Media Research, leading NBC’s “Today” (2.687 million) to take the top spot for the third week in a row.

  • For the fifth time in as many weeks this season, “GMA” built on the year-ago week in Adults 18-49 (+5% – 325,000 vs. 310,000).
  • “GMA” slashed its margins year to year with “Today” by double digits from both Adults 25-54 (-56% – 76,000 vs. 172,000) and Adults 18-49 (-86% – 18,000 vs. 128,000).
  • “GMA” (2.708 million, 494,000 and 325,000, respectively) beat “CBS Mornings” (1.810 million, 277,000 and 173,000, respectively) in Total Viewers (+898,000), Adults 25-54 (+217,000) and Adults 18-49 (+152,000). “GMA” led “CBS Mornings” in Total Viewers and Adults 25-54 for the last 1,397 weeks overall — since w/o 1/18/99.
  • Season to date, “GMA” (2.695 million) is ranking as the No. 1 morning newscast in Total Viewers for the 14th straight year — since the 2012-2013 season, based on Most Current Big Data+Panel Ratings. “GMA” is leading NBC’s “Today” (2.660 million) by 35,000 and “CBS Mornings” (1.854 million) by 841,000. “GMA” is slashing its margins with “Today” by more than half in Adults 25-54 (-65% – 64,000 vs. 184,000).

“GMA3” averaged 1.287 million Total Viewers, 123,000 Women 25-54, and 94,000 Women 18-49 during the week of Oct. 20, 2025, based on Live+Same Day Big Data+Panel Program Ratings from Nielsen Media Research, leading “NBC News Daily” in Total Viewers and Women 18-49.

  • “GMA3” improved on the previous week in Women 25-54 (+7% – 123,000 vs. 115,000) and Women 18-49 (13% – 94,000 vs. 83,000), hitting season highs in both measures. In fact, “GMA3” delivered 12-week highs in both key Women demos — since w/o 7/28/25.
  • Season to date, “GMA3” is beating “NBC News Daily” in Total Viewers (+4% – 1.311 million vs. 1.266 million) and Women 18-49 (+6% – 87,000 vs. 82,000) for the 4th straight season, based on Most Current Big Data+Panel Ratings.
