Hanna Battah
Hanna Battah is a co-anchor of “World News Now” and “Good Morning America First Look.”
Before joining ABC News, Battah anchored KDFW-TV’s afternoon and early-evening newscasts in Dallas and co-anchored “The Ten,” a largely unscripted program featuring wide-ranging live interviews. During her seven years in Dallas, she anchored major breaking news events, including the 2024 presidential election results and the catastrophic central Texas flood disaster. Battah’s reporting experience spans the entire country, from Midwest state legislatures to wildfire front lines on the West Coast and the tense U.S. southern border.
She previously anchored and reported for KBAK-TV/KBFX-TV in Bakersfield, California, and began her career as an anchor and multimedia journalist at KOMU-TV in Columbia, Missouri, after reporting on state politics for Missouri Digital News in Jefferson City.
In 2018, she received a Lone Star Emmy® nomination for her team’s live coverage of a vehicle attack on the station that triggered a bomb squad response.
Battah is a graduate of the University of Missouri’s School of Journalism.
