A BRIDE-TO-BE’S BRUTAL MURDER AND THE KILLER’S TAUNTING LETTERS LEAD AUTHORITIES TO JUSTICE IN THE ‘20/20’ EPISODE ‘HOUSE OF CARDS,’ AIRING FRIDAY, JUNE 10, ON ABC AND STREAMS NEXT DAY ON DISNEY+ AND HULU

Who would kill a mother-daughter pair in cold blood? Engaged to be married and designing her wedding dress, Angel Goyena was living her dream and planning a future with her fiancé, David Hoshaw, an electrical engineer and scout leader. But the fairytale takes a deadly turn when Angel and her mother are found brutally stabbed in the middle of the night. “20/20” correspondent Ryan Smith reports on the case in the “20/20” episode “House of Cards,” airing FRIDAY, JULY 10 (9:01-11:00 p.m. EDT), on ABC, and streams next day on Disney+ and Hulu. (Rebroadcast. OAD: 2/17/23)
With no sign of forced entry, no murder weapon, and no physical evidence, investigators are stumped. A self-proclaimed vampire claims to have the murder weapon, a series of taunting letters arrives from the killer, and an alibi isn’t what it seems. As detectives chase clues across the Midwest, a shocking secret emerges. Inside the interrogation room, the lies unravel — and the killer is finally unmasked.
