ABC News’ ‘Good Morning America’ Delivers Its Largest Audience in Over Two Years, Drawing 3.1 Million Viewers, and Biggest Adults 18–49 Performance in Nearly Two Years
‘GMA’ Is the Only Morning Newscast to Grow Week to Week and Year to Year in Total Viewers, Adults 25-54 and Adults 18-49
On Monday, ‘GMA’ Delivers 3.4 Million Viewers for Its Most-Watched Telecast in 15 Months

“Good Morning America” averages 3.137 million Total Viewers, 524,000 Adults 25-54 and 369,0000 Adults 18-49 for the week of Feb. 23, 2026, based on Live+Same Day Big Data Plus Panel Program Ratings from Nielsen Media Research.
- For the 2nd week in a row, “GMA” posted week-to-week increases in Total Viewers (+6% – 3.137 million vs. 2.952 million), Adults 25-54 (+7% – 524,000 vs. 490,000) and Adults 18-49 (+5% – 369,000 vs. 352,000). “GMA” drew its largest overall audience in over 2 years and its strongest Adults 18-49 delivery in nearly 2 years — since weeks of 1/15/24 and 4/22/24, respectively. In addition, “GMA” stood as the only morning newscast to grow week to week across the board.
- “GMA” was also the only morning newscast to improve on the same week last year in all key target demos: Total Viewers (+10% – 3.137 million vs. 2.856 million), Adults 25-54 (+7% – 524,000 vs. 488,000) and Adults 18-49 (+18% – 369,000 vs. 312,000).
- On Monday (2/23/26), “GMA” scored its most-watched telecast (3.390 million) in 15 months — since 11/06/24, “GMA”’s post-presidential telecast.
- “GMA” cut its margins with “Today” compared to the prior week in Adults 25-54 (-22% – 114,000 vs. 147,000) and Adults 18-49 (-82% – 11,000 vs. 60,000).
- “GMA” decreased its margins with “Today” year to year in Adults 25-54 (-14% – 114,000 vs. 133,000) and Adults 18-49 (-85% – 11,000 vs. 72,000).
- “GMA” (3.137 million, 524,000 and 369,000, respectively) beat “CBS Mornings” (1.775 million, 255,000 and 170,000, respectively) in Total Viewers (+1.362 million), Adults 25-54 (+269,000) and Adults 18-49 (+199,000). In fact, “GMA” posted its largest Total Viewer lead over the CBS program in nearly 10 years — since w/o 2/29/16. In addition, “GMA” led “CBS Mornings” in Total Viewers and Adults 25-54 for the last 1,415 weeks overall — since w/o 1/18/99.
NOTE: On Monday (2/23/26), “CBS Mornings” was retitled to “CBS Morn” and “Today” was retitled to “Today-TS.” The retitled telecasts are excluded from the weekly and season averages. Weekly averages for “CBS Mornings” and “Today” are based on four days (Tuesday-Friday).

- Season to date, “GMA3” is beating “NBC News Daily” in Total Viewers (+5% – 1.447 million vs. 1.381 million) and Women 18-49 (+12% – 100,000 vs. 89,000) for the 4th straight season, based on Most Current Big Data+Panel Ratings.
