ABC NEWS’ ‘GOOD MORNING AMERICA’ IS AMERICA’S MOST-WATCHED MORNING NEWS PROGRAM
‘Good Morning America’ Posts Across-the-Board Growth, Delivering Largest Adults 25-54 Performance in Nearly 1 Year and Biggest Adults 18-49 Viewership in Over 1.5 Years
‘GMA’ Ranks No. 1 in Adults 25-54 on Tuesday and Thursday, Leading ‘Today’ in the Key Demo

“Good Morning America” ranked No. 1 in Total Viewers (2.878 million) for the week of Jan. 12, 2026, based on Live+Same Day Big Data Plus Panel Program Ratings from Nielsen Media Research.
- “GMA” saw across-the-board gains from the previous week: Total Viewers (+4% – 2.878 million vs. 2.755 million), Adults 25-54 (+25% – 552,000 vs. 442,000) and Adults 18-49 (+25% – 367,000 vs. 293,000), hitting season highs in both key Adult demos. In fact, “GMA” turned in its best Adults 25-54 performance in nearly 1 year and top Adults 18-49 delivery in more than 1 1/2 years — since weeks of 2/17/25 and 4/29/24, respectively.
- “GMA” ranked No. 1 in Adults 25-54, leading NBC’s “Today” on Tuesday (+16,000 – 517,000 vs. 501,000) and Thursday (+17,000 – 588,000 vs. 571,000).
- “GMA” cut its margins with “Today” compared to the previous week in Adults 25-54 (-72% – 24,000 vs. 85,000) and Adults 18-49 (-77% – 14,000 vs. 60,000), posting its closest performance in both measures in 3 months — since w/o 10/13/25.
- “GMA” decreased its gaps with “Today” from the same week last year in Adults 25-54 (-83% – 24,000 vs. 145,000) and Adults 18-49 (-87% – 14,000 vs. 107,000).
- “GMA” (2.878 million, 552,000 and 367,000, respectively) beat “CBS Mornings” (1.726 million, 259,000 and 189,000, respectively) in Total Viewers (+1.152 million), Adults 25-54 (+293,000) and Adults 18-49 (+178,000). In fact, “GMA” scored its largest Total Viewer lead over the CBS program in over 5 years — since w/o 11/18/19. In addition, “GMA” led “CBS Mornings” in Total Viewers and Adults 25-54 for the last 1,409 weeks overall — since w/o 1/18/99.

“GMA3” averaged 1.535 million Total Viewers, 141,000 Women 25-54 and 116,000 Women 18-49 during the week of Jan. 12, 2026, based on Live+Same Day Big Data Plus Panel Program Ratings from Nielsen Media Research, leading “NBC News Daily” across the board.
- “GMA3” saw Total Viewer gains week to week (+4% – 1.535 million vs. 1.479 million) to deliver its most-watched week in 10 months — since w/o 3/17/25.
- Season to date, “GMA3” is beating “NBC News Daily” in Total Viewers (+4% – 1.401 million vs. 1.353 million), Women 25-54 (+2% – 127,000 vs. 125,000) and Women 18-49 (+15% – 101,000 vs. 88,000) for the 4th straight season, based on Most Current Big Data+Panel Ratings.
