ABC NEWS’ ‘GOOD MORNING AMERICA’ WINS ADULTS 18-49 BY LARGEST MARGIN OVER NBC IN 2 YEARS — AND IS NO. 1 IN TOTAL VIEWERS

For the Fourth Time in Four Weeks, ‘GMA’ Posts Growth in Adults 18-49 Week to Week and Year to Year, Delivering Its Best Performance in Nearly 1 Year  

Season to Date, ‘Good Morning America’ Stands as the Most-Watched Morning Newscast in Total Viewers for the 14th Straight Year

“Good Morning America” ranked No. 1 in Total Viewers (2.679 million) and Adults 18-49 (349,000) for the week of Oct. 13, 2025, based on Live+Same Day Big Data Plus Panel Program Ratings from Nielsen Media Research.

  • “GMA” took the top spot in Adults 18-49 for the first time in 14 weeks with its largest margin (+37,000 – 349,000 vs. 312,000) in over 2 years — since weeks of 7/7/25 and 7/17/23, respectively.
  • “GMA” (2.679 million) outdelivered “Today” (2.551 million) by 128,000 Total Viewers, increasing its lead year to year (+44%; vs. 89,000).
  • For the fourth time in the four weeks of the season, “GMA” grew in Adults 18-49 week to week (+5% – 349,000 vs. 333,000) and year to year (+12% – 349,000 vs. 312,000). In addition, “GMA” delivered its best performance in Adults 18-49 in nearly 1 year — since w/o 11/04/24.
  • “GMA” cut its Adults 25-54 margins with “Today” by double digits from both the previous week (-67% – 22,000 vs. 67,000) and the year-ago week (-87% – 22,000 vs. 105,000).
  • “GMA” (2.679 million, 489,000 and 349,000, respectively) beat “CBS Mornings” (1.807 million, 261,000 and 160,000, respectively) in Total Viewers (+872,000), Adults 25-54 (+228,000) and Adults 18-49 (+189,000). “GMA” led “CBS Mornings” in Total Viewers and Adults 25-54 for the last 1,396 weeks overall — since w/o 1/18/99.
  • Season to date, “GMA” (2.689 million) is ranking as the No. 1 morning newscast in Total Viewers for the 14th straight year — since the 2012-2013 season, based on Most Current Big Data+Panel Ratings. “GMA” is leading NBC’s “Today” (2.651 million) by 38,000 and “CBS Mornings” (1.864 million) by 824,000. “GMA”is slashing its margins with “Today” by more than half in Adults 25-54 (-68% – 60,000 vs. 188,000).

NOTE: On Monday (10/13/25), “Good Morning America” was coded as a breakout due to Columbus Day and impacts by a special report on President Trump speaking in Israel. “CBS Mornings” was retitled to “CBS Morn,” and “Today“ was retitled to “Today-TS.” The breakout and retitled telecasts are excluded from the weekly and season averages. ABC’s, CBS’ and NBC’s weekly averages are based on four days (Tuesday-Friday).

“GMA3” averaged 1.318 million Total Viewers, 115,000 Women 25-54, and 83,000 Women 18-49 during the week of Oct. 13, 2025, based on Live+Same Day Big Data+Panel Program Ratings from Nielsen Media Research, leading “NBC News Daily” across the board.

  • “GMA3” posted week-to-week gains in all key target demos: Total Viewers (+3% – 1.318 million vs. 1.280 million), Women 25-54 (+10% – 115,000 vs. 105,000) and Women 18-49 (2% – 83,000 vs. 81,000).
  • Season to date, “GMA3” is beating “NBC News Daily” in Total Viewers (+4% – 1.318 million vs. 1.264 million) for the 4th straight season, based on Most Current Big Data+Panel Ratings.

NOTE: On Monday (10/13/25), “GMA3” was retitled to “GMA-ABC” due to Columbus Day. The retitled telecast is excluded from the weekly averages. ABC’s weekly averages are based on four days (Tuesday-Friday).
