‘This Week’ Is #1 in Total Viewers for the 11th Consecutive Week and Outperforms NBC’s ‘Meet the Press’ by Its Largest Margin in More Than 12 Years

‘20/20’ Is Friday’s #1 Newsmagazine in Total Viewers, Adults 25-54 and Adults 18-49, Posts Week-to-Week, Double-Digit Increases in Adults 25-54 and Adults 18-49, and Grows Year to Year in All Key Demos for the Third Week in a Row

On Sunday, April 12, 2026, “This Week with George Stephanopoulos” ranked No. 1 in Total Viewers (2.778 million) for the 11th straight week, based on Live+Same Day Big Data Plus Panel Program Ratings from Nielsen Media Research.

  • “This Week”’s Total Viewer win represented the program’s longest run at No. 1 in more than 2 ½ years — since 6/25–9/3/23.
  • “This Week” (2.778 million) outperformed NBC’s “Meet the Press” (2.147 million) by its largest Total Viewer margin (+631,000) in more than 12 years — since 3/16/14, based on regular telecasts.
  • For the second week in a row, “This Week” saw gains on the year-ago telecast in Total Viewers (+14% – 2.778 million vs. 2.429 million).
  • Season to date, “This Week” ranks No. 1 in Total Viewers (2.798 million) for the 5th season in a row, leading NBC’s “Meet the Press” (2.620 million) and CBS’ “Face the Nation” 1 and 2 (2.756 million), based on Most Current Big Data+Panel Ratings. In addition, “This Week” is beating the NBC program by its largest overall viewer lead (+178,000) in 30 years — since the 1995-1996 season.

George Stephanopoulos is anchor, Martha Raddatz is chief global affairs correspondent and co-anchor, and Jonathan Karl is chief Washington correspondent and co-anchor of “This Week.”

ABC News’ “20/20: One Last Call” averaged 2.953 million Total Viewers, 515,000 Adults 25-54 and 387,000 Adults 18-49 on Friday, April 10, 2026, based on Live+Same Day Big Data Plus Panel Program Ratings from Nielsen Media Research, leading NBC’s “Dateline” (2.139 million, 369,000 and 263,000, respectively) and ranking as Friday’s No. 1 newsmagazine across the board

  • “20/20” posted week-to-week, double-digit increases in Adults 25-54 (+14% – 515,000 vs. 453,000) and Adults 18-49 (+15% – 387,000 vs. 337,000), hitting a 7-week high in Adults 18-49 — since w/o 2/20/26.
  • For the third week in a row, “20/20” built on its year-ago telecast in all key target demos: Total Viewers (+14% – 2.953 million vs. 2.598 million), Adults 25-54 (21% – 515,000 vs. 425,000) and Adults 18-49 (+43% – 387,000 vs. 270,000).
  • Season to date, “20/20” leads “Dateline” in Total Viewers (+16%/+516,000 – 3.653 million vs. 3.137 million), based on Most Current Big Data+Panel Ratings. In addition, “20/20” is improving versus the comparable weeks last season in Total Viewers (+3%/+107,000 – 3.653 million vs. 3.546 million).
