ABC NEWS’ ‘NIGHTLINE’ RANKS NO. 1 ACROSS THE BOARD – IN TOTAL VIEWERS, ADULTS 25-54 AND ADULTS 18-49
‘Nightline’ Grows Week to Week in All Key Demos, and Improves Year to Year by Double Digits
Season To Date, ‘Nightline’ Leads ‘Late Night with Seth Meyers’ in Total Viewers

ABC News’ “Nightline” ranked No. 1 in Total Viewers (949,000), Adults 25-54 (153,000) and Adults 18-49 (99,000), for the week of Feb. 2, 2026, based on Live+Same Day Big Data Plus Panel Program Ratings from Nielsen Media Research, leading NBC’s “Seth Meyers” in Total Viewers and Adults 25-54.
- “Nightline” posted increases week to week in Total Viewers (+6% – 949,000 vs. 895,000), Adults 25-54 (+21% – 153,000 vs. 126,000) and Adults 18-49 (+16% – 99,000 vs. 85,000).
- “Nightline” improved on the same week last year by double digits in Total Viewers (+18% – 949,000 vs. 807,000), Adults 25-54 (+16% – 153,000 vs. 132,000) and Adults 18-49 (+29% – 99,000 vs. 77,000).
- Season to date, “Nightline” (993,000) leads NBC’s “Late Night with Seth Meyers” (971,000) in Total Viewers.
- This week, “Nightline” covered the search for Savannah Guthrie’s mother, Nancy Gutherie; Brandon Banfield’s guilty verdict in the au pair trial; new details on the murder of an Ohio dentist and his wife; Bad Bunny’s Super Bowl LX performance sparking debate on what it means to be American; Super Bowl LX fashion; behind the scenes of the 2026 Westminster Dog Show and more.
