In 2025, “World News Tonight with David Muir” spent 24 of 50 weeks of 2025 as the No. 1 program of the week in Total Viewers on all of broadcast and cable (excluding sports), the most number of weeks for nonsports programs. “World News Tonight” stood as the most-watched evening newscast for the 9th consecutive year — since 2017. In fact, “World News Tonight” ranked as America’s No. 1 evening newscast for 2025 in Total Viewers (7.837 million), Adults 25-54 (1.011 million) and Adults 18-49 (718,000) to take the top spot for the 6th year in a row — since 2020.

• “World News Tonight” increased its Total Viewers lead year to year over “NBC Nightly News” (+3% – 1.641 million vs. 1.591 million) to post its largest in 30 years — since 1995.

“Good Morning America”
For 2025, “Good Morning America” ranked as America’s No. 1 morning newscast in Total Viewers(2.766 million) for the 14th year in a row, leading NBC’s “Today” (2.753 million) and “CBS Mornings” (1.956 million).

• In addition, “GMA” narrowed its Adults 25-54 margin with “Today” by 11% (107,000 vs. 120,000) compared to its 2024 margin.

“20/20”
For 2025, “20/20” stood as Friday’s No. 1 newsmagazine and led NBC’s “Dateline” in Total Viewers (3.459 million vs. 3.334 million)

• In fact, “20/20” outdelivered “Dateline” in Total Viewers for the 3rd consecutive year (since 2023) and in 4 of the last 5 years, overall.

“GMA3”
For 2025, “GMA3” ranked No. 1 in Total Viewers (1.448 million) and Women 18-49 (97,000), leading “NBC News Daily” in both measures for the 4th year in a row — since 2022.

ABC News Live
ABC News Live delivered its most-watched year ever, with 605 million streaming hours through early December 2025, growing +4% year to year.
