‘GOOD MORNING AMERICA’ DELIVERS 2.7 MILLION VIEWERS FOR THE WEEK

‘GMA’ Narrows Gap With ‘Today’ Week to Week in Adults 25-54 and Adults 18-49

For the 1,427th Consecutive Week, ‘GMA’ Leads ‘CBS Mornings’ in Total Viewers and Adults 25-54

“Good Morning America” averaged 2.740 million Total Viewers, 436,000 Adults 25-54 and 323,0000 Adults 18-49 for the week of May 18, 2026, based on Live+Same Day Big Data Plus Panel Program Ratings from Nielsen Media Research.

  • On Wednesday (5/20/26), “GMA” ranked No. 1, leading NBC’s “Today” in Total Viewers (+18,000 – 2.815 million vs. 2.797 million).
  • “GMA” narrowed its margins with “Today” compared to the previous week in Adults 25-54 (-23% – 126,000 vs. 164,000) and Adults 18-49 (-13% – 72,000 vs. 83,000).
  • “GMA” (2.740 million, 436,000 and 323,000, respectively) defeated “CBS Mornings” (1.897 million, 322,000 and 192,000, respectively) in Total Viewers (+843,000), Adults 25-54 (+114,000) and Adults 18-49 (+131,000). In addition, “GMA” led “CBS Mornings” in Total Viewers and Adults 25-54 for the last 1,427 weeks overall — since w/o 1/18/99.
  • Season to date, “GMA” is up in Total Viewers (2.864 million vs. 2.856 million) compared to the same point last year.

NOTE: On Friday (5/22/26), all three programs were retitled. The retitled telecasts are excluded from the weekly averages. Weekly averages for “GMA,” “CBS Mornings” and “Today” are based on four days (Monday-Thursday).

“GMA3” averaged 1.299 million Total Viewers, 117,000 Women 25-54 and 89,000 Women 18-49 during the week of May 18, 2026, based on Live+Same Day Big Data Plus Panel Program Ratings from Nielsen Media Research.

  • For the third straight week, “GMA3” saw gains on the year-ago week in Women 25-54 (+9% – 117,000 vs. 107,000).
  • Season to date, “GMA3” is beating “NBC News Daily” in Total Viewers (+5% – 1.433 million vs. 1.362 million) and Women 18-49 (+11% – 100,000 vs. 90,000) for the fourth straight season, based on Most Current Big Data+Panel Ratings.

NOTE: On Wednesday (5/20/26), “NBC News Daily” was coded as a breakout. On Friday (5/22/26), “GMA3” was retitled to “GMA3-ABC.” The breakout and retitled telecasts are excluded from the weekly and season averages. “GMA”’s (Monday-Thursday) and “NBC News Daily”’s (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday) weekly averages are based on four days.
