‘GOOD MORNING AMERICA’ GROWS SEASON OVER SEASON IN TOTAL VIEWERS AND ADULTS 18-49

‘GMA’ Improves by +10% in Adults 18-49 for the Season

‘GMA’ Posts Gains Over Year-Ago Quarter Across the Board in 3Q26, Including 17% Growth in Adults 18-49, to Hit a 3-Year High

2025-2026 Season:

For the 2025-2026 season, “GMA” was up in Total Viewers (+2% – 2.831 million vs. 2.789 million) and Adults 18-49 (+10% – 334,000 vs. 303,000) compared to last season.

3rd Quarter 2026:

ABC’s “Good Morning America” averaged 2.759 million Total Viewers, 459,000 Adults 25-54 and 334,0000 Adults 18-49 for the 3rd quarter of 2026, based on Most Current Big Data Plus Panel Program Ratings from Nielsen Media Research.

  • “GMA” posted increases compared to the year-ago 3rd quarter across the board: Total Viewers (+4% – 2.759 million vs. 2.645 million), Adults 25-54 (459,000 vs. 457,000) and Adults 18-49 (+17% – 334,000 vs. 286,000), hitting a 3-year high in Adults 18-49 — since 3Q23.
  • “GMA” narrowed its margins compared to the previous quarter with “Today” by double digits in Adults 25-54 (-24% – 122,000 vs. 160,000) and Adults 18-49 (-46% – 40,000 vs. 74,000). “GMA” delivered its closest quarter performances in both key Adult demos in four quarters — since 3Q25.
  • “GMA” (2.759 million, 459,000 and 334,000, respectively) outperformed “CBS Mornings” (1.636 million, 254,000 and 178,000, respectively) during 3Q26 by 1.123 million Total Viewers, by 205,000 Adults 25-54 and by 156,000 Adults 18-49. “GMA” delivered its largest Total Viewer lead during a 3rd quarter in 11 years and biggest in both key Adult demos in 5 years — since 3Q15 and 3Q21, respectively.

“Good Morning America” averaged 2.660 million Total Viewers, 443,000 Adults 25-54 and 334,000 Adults 18-49 during the week of Sept. 14, 2026, based on Live+Same Day Big Data Plus Panel Program Ratings from Nielsen Media Research

  • For the final 10 weeks of the season, “GMA” turned in year-to-year gains in Total Viewers (+2% – 2.660 million vs. 2.598 million) and Adults 18-49 (+8% – 334,000 vs. 309,000).
  • “GMA” ranked No. 1 in Total Viewers, leading NBC’s “Today” on Thursday (+55,000 – 2.849 million vs. 2.794 million).
  • “GMA” (2.660 million, 443,000 and 334,000, respectively) defeated “CBS Mornings” (1.694 million, 283,000 and 198,000, respectively) in Total Viewers (+966,000), Adults 25-54 (+160,000) and Adults 18-49 (+136,000). In addition, “GMA” led “CBS Mornings” in Total Viewers and Adults 25-54 for the last 1,444 weeks overall — since w/o 1/18/99.

  • For the second straight week, “GMA3” scored week-to-week gains across the board: Total Viewers (+7% – 1.471 million vs. 1.381 million), Women 25-54 (+12% – 142,000 vs. 127,000) and Women 18-49 (+19% – 111,000 vs. 93,000). “GMA” drew its largest overall audience in 2 months and delivered its top key Women performances in 6 months — since weeks of 7/13/26 and 3/2/26, respectively.
  • For the fourth week running, “GMA3” improved on the year-ago week in all key target demos: Total Viewers (+5% – 1.471 million vs. 1.396 million), Women 25-54 (+33% – 142,000 vs. 107,000) and Women 18-49 (+23% – 111,000 vs. 90,000).
