‘GOOD MORNING AMERICA’ HITS 4-WEEK HIGHS IN ADULTS 25-54 AND ADULTS 18-49

For the Second Straight Week, ‘GMA’ Delivers Year-to-Year Growth Across the Board

‘GMA’ Posts Second Straight Quarter of Growth Across the Board, Marking Its Strongest Total Viewer and Adults 18-49 Performance in 7 Quarters

Week of March 23, 2026:

“Good Morning America” averaged 2.921 million Total Viewers, 508,000 Adults 25-54 and 360,0000 Adults 18-49 for the week of March 23, 2026, based on Live+Same Day Big Data Plus Panel Program Ratings from Nielsen Media Research.

  • “GMA” was up over the previous week in Adults 25-54 (+2% – 508,000 vs. 500,000) and Adults 18-49 (+4% – 360,000 vs. 357,000), posting 4-week highs in both measures — since w/o 2/23/26.
  • For the second week in a row, “GMA” saw gains on the same week last year across the board: Total Viewers (+6% – 2.921 million vs. 2.750 million), Adults 25-54 (+10% – 508,000 vs. 461,000) and Adults 18-49 (+27% – 360,000 vs. 283,000).
  • “GMA” (2.921 million, 508,000 and 360,000, respectively) defeated “CBS Mornings” (1.791 million, 283,000 and 191,000, respectively) in Total Viewers (+1.130 million), Adults 25-54 (+225,000) and Adults 18-49 (+169,000). In addition, “GMA” led “CBS Mornings” in Total Viewers and Adults 25-54 for the last 1,419 weeks overall — since w/o 1/18/99.

1st Quarter 2026:

ABC News’ “Good Morning America” averaged 2.929 million Total Viewers, 498,000 Adults 25-54 and 344,000 Adults 18-49 during the 1st Quarter of 2026, based on Most Current Big Data Plus Panel Program Ratings from Nielsen Media Research.

  • For the second quarter in a row, “GMA” saw gains on the previous quarter in Total Viewers (+5% – 2.929 million vs. 2.780 million), Adults 25-54 (+4% – 498,000 vs. 480,000) and Adults 18-49 (+8% – 344,000 vs. 320,000). “GMA” turned in its strongest numbers in Total Viewers and Adults 18-49 in 7 quarters — since 2Q24.
  • “GMA” posted increases versus the year-ago quarter (1Q25) in Total Viewers (+2% – 2.929 million vs. 2.780 million) and Adults 18-49 (+12% – 344,000 vs. 308,000).
  • “GMA” cut its margins with “Today” compared to the same quarter last year (1Q25) in Adults 25-54 (-10% – 135,000 vs. 150,000) and Adults 18-49 (-36% – 66,000 vs. 103,000).
  • “GMA” (2.929 million, 498,000 and 344,000) beat “CBS Mornings” (1.762 million, 270,000 and 180,000, respectively) during 1Q26 in Total Viewers (+1.167 million), Adults 25-54 (+228,000) and Adults 18-49 (+164,000).
  • “GMA” saw its largest quarter margins over “CBS Mornings” in Total Viewers in 10 years, strongest in Adults 25-54 in 4 years and best in Adults 18-49 in over 4 years — since 1Q16, 2Q22 and 4Q21, respectively.
  • “GMA” posted its biggest 1st quarter lead over “CBS Mornings” in Total Viewers in 10 years, strongest in Adults 25-54 in 4 years and best in Adults 18-49 in 6 years — since 1Q16, 1Q22 and 1Q20, respectively.

“GMA3” averaged 1.433 million Total Viewers, 127,000 Women 25-54 and 103,000 Women 18-49 during the week of March 23, 2026, based on Live+Same Day Big Data Plus Panel Program Ratings from Nielsen Media Research, leading “NBC News Daily” in Total Viewers and Women 18-49.

  • For the second week in a row, “GMA3” saw year-to-year gains in Women 25-54 (+4% – 127,000 vs. 122,000) and Women 18-49 (+16% – 103,000 vs. 89,000).
  • Season to date, “GMA3” is beating “NBC News Daily” in Total Viewers (+5% – 1.458 million vs. 1.383 million) and Women 18-49 (+15% – 102,000 vs. 89,000) for the 4th straight season, based on Most Current Big Data+Panel Ratings.

NOTE: On Monday (3/23/26), “GMA3” was retitled to “GMA3-ABC.” The retitled telecast is excluded from the weekly and season averages. On Thursday (3/26/25), “NBC News Daily” was preempted. “GMA3” weekly averages are based on four days (Tuesday-Friday).

  • “GMA3” improved on the previous quarter (4Q25) in Total Viewers (+12% – 1.531 million vs. 1.373 million), Women 25-54 (+10% – 135,000 vs. 123,000) and Women 18-49 (+9% – 106,000 vs. 97,000).
