“Good Morning America” averages 2.713 million Total Viewers, 440,000 Adults 25-54 and 314,000 Adults 18-49 for the week of Dec. 22, 2025, based on Live+Same Day Big Data Plus Panel Program Ratings from Nielsen Media Research.

  • “GMA” improved on the same week last year in Total Viewers (+6% – 2.713 million vs. 2.559 million), Adults 25-54 (+5% – 440,000 vs. 419,000) and Adults 18-49 (+24% – 314,000 vs. 253,000), standing as the only morning newscast to grow year to year across the board.
  • “GMA” cut its week-to-week margins with “Today” in Adults 25-54 (-12% – 158,000 vs. 180,000) and Adults 18-49 (-17% – 88,000 vs. 106,000).
  • “GMA” narrowed its gaps with “Today” on the same week last year by double digits in Adults 25-54 (-46% – 158,000 vs. 292,000) and Adults 18-49 (-54% – 88,000 vs. 191,000).
  • “GMA” (2.713 million, 440,000 and 314,000, respectively) beat “CBS Mornings” (1.768 million, 278,000 and 174,000, respectively) in Total Viewers (+945,000), Adults 25-54 (+162,000) and Adults 18-49 (+140,000). “GMA” led “CBS Mornings” in Total Viewers and Adults 25-54 for the last 1,406 weeks overall — since w/o 1/18/99.

NOTE: From Wednesday through Friday (12/24-26/25), “Good Morning America” and “CBS Mornings” were coded as specials, while NBC’s “Today” was coded as a special on Wednesday and Thursday. On Friday, “Today” was retitled to “Today-TS.” The specialed and retitled telecasts are excluded from the weekly and season averages. ABC’s, CBS’ and NBC’s weekly averages are based on two days (Monday and Tuesday).

4th Quarter 2025

ABC News’ “Good Morning America” averages 2.780 million Total Viewers, 480,000 Adults 25-54 and 320,000 Adults 18-49 during the 4th Quarter of 2025, based on Most Current Big Data+Panel Ratings.

  • “GMA” improved on the previous quarter (3Q25) in Total Viewers (+5% – 2.780 million vs. 2.645 million), Adults 25-54 (+5% – 480,000 vs. 457,000) and Adults 18-49 (+12% – 320,000 vs. 286,000).
  • “GMA” decreased its gaps with “Today” compared to the year-ago 4th quarter by double digits in Adults 25-54 (-37% – 121,000 vs. 192,000) and Adults 18-49 (-52% – 64,000 vs. 134,000).
  • “GMA” (2.780 million, 480,000 and 320,000, respectively) beat “CBS This Morning” (1.914 million, 298,000 and 191,000, respectively) during 4Q25 in Total Viewers (+866,000), Adults 25-54 (+182,000) and Adults 18-49 (+129,000). “GMA” delivered its largest overall viewer lead during a 4th quarter in 6 years — since 4Q19.

  • Season to date, “GMA3” is beating “NBC News Daily” in Total Viewers (+3% – 1.373 million vs. 1.337 million) and Women 18-49 (+10% – 97,000 vs. 88,000) for the 4th straight season, based on Most Current Big Data+Panel Ratings.

NOTE: On Wednesday (12/24/25), “GMA3” was coded as a special, while “NBC News Daily” was coded as a special on Thursday (12/25/25). On Thursday, “GMA3” was preempted. The specialed telecasts are excluded from the weekly and season averages. ABC’s weekly averages are based on three days (Monday, Tuesday and Friday), and NBC’s weekly averages are based on four days (Monday-Wednesday and Friday).

ABC’s “GMA3” averaged 1.373 million Total Viewers, 123,000 Women 25-54 and 97,000 Women 18-49 during the 4th Quarter 2025, based on Most Current Big Data Plus Panel Program Ratings from Nielsen Media Research. “GMA3” beat “NBC News Daily” (1.337 million and 88,000, respectively) in Total Viewers and Women 18-49 during the 4th Quarter for the 4th year in a row and for the last seven quarters — since 4Q22 and 2Q24, respectively.

  • “GMA3” improved on the previous quarter (3Q25) in Total Viewers (+3% – 1.373 million vs. 1.330 million), Women 25-54 (+8% – 123,000 vs. 114,000) and Women 18-49 (+13% – 97,000 vs. 86,000).
