‘GOOD MORNING AMERICA’ IS THE ONLY MORNING NEWSCAST TO GROW WEEK TO WEEK AND YEAR TO YEAR ACROSS THE BOARD

Season to Date, ‘GMA’ Is Up in Total Viewers and Adults 18-49 Compared to the Same Point Last Year

‘GMA’ Defeats ‘CBS Mornings’ in Total Viewers and Adults 25-54 for the 1,443rd Consecutive Week

“Good Morning America” averaged 2.742 million Total Viewers, 488,000 Adults 25-54 and 372,000 Adults 18-49 during the week of Sept. 7, 2026, based on Live+Same Day Big Data Plus Panel Program Ratings from Nielsen Media Research

  • “GMA” improved on the previous week in Total Viewers (+1% – 2.742 million vs. 2.717 million), Adults 25-54 (+7% – 488,000 vs. 457,000) and Adults 18-49 (+8% – 372,000 vs. 344,000), standing as the only morning newscast to grow week to week in all key target demos.

  • “GMA” was up on the same week last year in Total Viewers (2.742 million vs. 2.736 million), Adults 25-54 (+2% – 488,000 vs. 477,000) and Adults 18-49 (+19% – 372,000 vs. 312,000).
  • “GMA” narrowed its margins with “Today” versus the previous week in Adults 25-54 (-36% – 110,000 vs. 171,000) and Adults 18-49 (-64% – 24,000 vs. 66,000).
  • “GMA” (2.742 million, 488,000 and 372,000, respectively) defeated “CBS Mornings” (1.640 million, 247,000 and 170,000, respectively) in Total Viewers (+1.102 million), Adults 25-54 (+241,000) and Adults 18-49 (+202,000). In addition, “GMA” led “CBS Mornings” in Total Viewers and Adults 25-54 for the last 1,443 weeks overall — since w/o 1/18/99.
  • Season to date, “GMA” is up in Total Viewers (+1% – 2.834 million vs. 2.793 million) and Adults 18-49 (+10% – 334,000 vs. 303,000) compared to the same point last year.

NOTE: On Monday (9/7/26), all three programs were coded as a special due to Labor Day. On Friday (9/11/26), all three programs were coded as a breakout. The specialed and breakout telecasts are excluded from the weekly and season averages. The weekly and season averages for “Good Morning America,” “CBS Mornings” and “Today” are based on three days (Tuesday-Thursday).

“GMA3” averaged 1.381 million Total Viewers, 127,000 Women 25-54 and 93,000 Women 18-49 during the week of Sept. 7, 2026, based on Live+Same Day Big Data Plus Panel Program Ratings from Nielsen Media Research.

  • “GMA3” increased week to week across the board: Total Viewers (+4% – 1.381 million vs. 1.332 million), Women 25-54 (+5% – 127,000 vs. 121,000) and Women 18-49 (+4% – 93,000 vs. 89,000).
  • For the third consecutive week, “GMA3” saw gains on the same week last year by double digits in all key target demos: Total Viewers (+10% – 1.381 million vs. 1.257 million),Women 25-54 (+34% – 127,000 vs. 95,000) and Women 18-49 (+41% – 93,000 vs. 66,000).

NOTE: Friday (9/11/26), “GMA3” was coded as a breakout. The breakout telecast is excluded from the weekly and season averages. “GMA3”’s weekly averages are based on four days (Monday-Thursday).
