‘GOOD MORNING AMERICA’ RANKS AS THE NO. 1 MORNING NEWS PROGRAM IN ADULTS 18-49, WITH LARGEST DEMO PERFORMANCE IN THREE MONTHS
‘GMA’ Is the Only Morning Newscast To Grow Week to Week and Year to Year Across the Board With Seven-Week High; Cuts Its Adults 25-54 Margin by Double Digits Week to Week and Year to Year, Scoring Closest Performance Versus NBC in Six Months
‘GMA’ Outdelivers CBS Across the Board for the Week, Leads in Total Viewers and Adults 25-54 for the Last 1,437 Weeks

“Good Morning America” stood as the morning’s No. 1 newscast in Adults 18-49 (365,000) during the week of July 27, 2026, based on Live+Same Day Big Data Plus Panel Program Ratings from Nielsen Media Research, leading NBC’s “Today” (337,000) by +28,000. In addition, “GMA” averaged 2.761 million Total Viewers and 485,000 Adults 25-54.
- “GMA” improved on the previous week in Total Viewers (+1% – 2.761 million vs. 2.743 million), Adults 25-54 (+10% – 485,000 vs. 442,000) and Adults 18-49 (+14% – 365,000 vs. 320,000), standing as the only morning newscast to post week-to-week gains in all key target demos. In addition, “GMA” hit a 7-week high in Adults 25-54 and a 3-month best in Adults 18-49 — since weeks of 6/8/26 and 4/20/26, respectively.
- “GMA” also turned in across-the-board gains year to year: Total Viewers (+2% – 2.761 million vs. 2.715 million), Adults 25-54 (+6% – 485,000 vs. 459,000) and Adults 18-49 (+24% – 365,000 vs. 295,000).
- On Tuesday (7/28/26), “GMA” ranked No. 1, beating “Today” in Adults 25-54 (+1,000 – 530,000 vs. 529,000) and Adults 18-49 (+62,000 – 399,000 vs. 337,000). On Thursday (7/30/26), “GMA” ranked No. 1, leading NBC’s “Today” in Total Viewers (+68,000 – 2.828 million vs. 2.760 million), Adults 25-54 (+5,000 – 492,000 – 487,000) and Adults 18-49 (+82,000 – 405,000 vs. 323,000). On Friday (7/31/26), “GMA” ranked No. 1, topping “Today” in Adults 18-49 (+23,000 – 352,000 vs. 329,000).
- “GMA” narrowed its Adults 25-54 margins with “Today” by double digits both week to week (-63% – 32,000 vs. 87,000) and year to year (-44% – 32,000 vs. 57,000), scoring its closest news demo performance with “Today” in over 6 months — since w/o 1/12/26.
- “GMA” (2.761 million, 485,000 and 365,000, respectively) defeated “CBS Mornings” (1.568 million, 228,000 and 158,000, respectively) in Total Viewers (+1.193 million), Adults 25-54 (+257,000) and Adults 18-49 (+207,000), turning in its largest Adults 18-49 margin in nearly 4 years — since w/o 8/15/22. In addition, “GMA” led “CBS Mornings” in Total Viewers and Adults 25-54 for the last 1,437 weeks overall — since w/o 1/18/99.
- Season to date, “GMA” is up in Total Viewers (+1% – 2.846 million vs. 2.814 million) and Adults 18-49 (+10% – 333,000 vs. 304,000) compared to the same point last year.
