‘GOOD MORNING AMERICA’ SEES WEEK-TO-WEEK GROWTH IN TOTAL VIEWERS
‘GMA’ Narrows Week-to-Week and Year-to-Year Gaps With ‘Today’ in Adults 25-54 and 18-49, Its Closest in 5 Weeks
‘GMA’ Outdelivers CBS Across the Board for the Week; Leads in Total Viewers and Adults 25-54 for 1,408 Consecutive Weeks

“Good Morning America” averages 2.755 million Total Viewers, 442,000 Adults 25-54 and 293,000 Adults 18-49 for the week of Jan. 5, 2026, based on Live+Same Day Big Data Plus Panel Program Ratings from Nielsen Media Research.
- “GMA” was up week to week in Total Viewers (+2% – 2.755 million vs. 2.688 million).
- “GMA” decreased its margins week to week with “Today” in Adults 25-54 (-10% – 85,000 vs. 94,000) and Adults 18-49 (-29% – 60,000 vs. 85,000), posting its closest performance in 5 weeks — since w/o 12/1/25.
- “GMA” narrowed its year-to-year gaps with “Today” in Adults 25-54 (-65% – 85,000 vs. 243,000) and Adults 18-49 (-66% – 60,000 vs. 174,000).
- “GMA” (2.755 million, 442,000 and 293,000, respectively) beat “CBS Mornings” (1.695 million, 268,000 and 181,000, respectively) in Total Viewers (+1.060 million), Adults 25-54 (+174,000) and Adults 18-49 (+112,000). “GMA” led “CBS Mornings” in Total Viewers and Adults 25-54 for the last 1,408 weeks overall — since w/o 1/18/99.

“GMA3” averaged 1.479 million Total Viewers, 145,000 Women 25-54 and 121,000 Women 18-49 during the week of Jan. 5, 2026, based on Live+Same Day Big Data Plus Panel Program Ratings from Nielsen Media Research, leading “NBC News Daily” across the board.
- For the second week in a row, “GMA3” improved the previous week’s Women 25-54 (+2% – 145,000 vs. 142,000) and Women 18-49 (+3% – 121,000 vs. 117,000), hitting 5-week highs (since w/o 12/1/25) and posting its 2nd-best numbers of the season in both measures.
- Season to date, “GMA3” is beating “NBC News Daily” in Total Viewers (+3% – 1.389 million vs. 1.353 million), Women 25-54 (+1% – 126,000 vs. 125,000) and Women 18-49 (+12% – 100,000 vs. 89,000) for the 4th straight season, based on Most Current Big Data+Panel Ratings.
NOTE: On Monday (1/5/26), “NBC News Daily” was retitled to “NBC News Daily-ND. The retitled telecast is excluded from the weekly and season averages. NBC’s weekly averages are based on four days (Tuesday-Friday).
