JON SCHLOSBERG NAMED EXECUTIVE PRODUCER OF ABC NEWS’ ‘THIS WEEK WITH GEORGE STEPHANOPOULOS’

Jon Schlosberg has been named executive producer of “This Week with George Stephanopoulos,” ABC News Washington Bureau Chief Rick Klein announced today. Schlosberg will report into Klein and be based in Washington, D.C., beginning May 6.
Schlosberg will lead all aspects of “This Week,” the No. 1 Sunday public affairs program for the fifth consecutive season, in collaboration with George Stephanopoulos, Martha Raddatz and Jonathan Karl.
“Jon is a tenacious journalist and exceptional leader who has been instrumental across the ABC News Group for more than a decade, bringing precision, creativity and integrity to some of the most consequential stories of our time,” said Klein. “His sharp political instincts, deep experience in linear as well as streaming television, and proven ability to build winning teams make him exactly the right person to lead ‘This Week’ into its next chapter.”
In his new role, Schlosberg will provide management and editorial leadership for “This Week,” including overseeing the program’s signature branded content and relevant special programming on the ABC network as well as Disney+, Hulu and ABC News Live.
Schlosberg is an award-winning journalist who joined ABC News in 2018 as a producer, helping to launch the 24/7 streaming news channel ABC News Live and contributing to a record number of streaming hours in 2025. Since 2021, he has served as senior producer for ABC News Live’s “Prime with Linsey Davis,” helping to build the nightly newscast into the most award-winning streaming news program in the industry. In that role, he led coverage across multiple election cycles, produced award-winning investigations and oversaw in-depth political interviews with senior administration officials, U.S. Supreme Court justices, members of Congress, governors and international leaders.
Schlosberg has contributed to ABC News’ coverage of many of the defining stories of the past decade, across multiple election cycles, political conventions, nationally televised presidential debates and major international conflicts, including the Russia-Ukraine and Israel-Hamas wars.
Schlosberg has received two prestigious duPont-Columbia honors, including the organization’s first special recognition in 30 years for ABC News’ work on the 2024 presidential debate and the award for environmental journalism for the network’s global investigations “Trashed: The Secret Life of Plastic Recycling” and “The Power of Water.” He has also won an Emmy® Award and Edward R. Murrow Award for the network’s climate coverage.
Prior to ABC News, Schlosberg served as a producer at ABC News Owned Television Station KGO-TV in San Francisco and at WVUE-TV in New Orleans.
