‘Good Morning America’ Sees Week-to-Week Growth in Total Viewers

‘Good Morning America’ Outperforms ‘CBS Mornings’ in Total Viewers and Adults 25-54 for the Last 1,398 Weeks Overall

“Good Morning America” averages 2.771 million Total Viewers, 475,000 Adults 25-54 and 315,0000 Adults 18-49 for the week of Oct. 27, 2025, based on Live+Same Day Big Data Plus Panel Program Ratings from Nielsen Media Research.

  • “GMA” was up week to week in Total Viewers (+2% – 2.771 million vs. 2.708 million).
  • “GMA” narrowed its margins on the same week last year with “Today” by double digits from both Adults 25-54 (-28% – 137,000 vs. 189,000) and Adults 18-49 (-40% – 76,000 vs. 126,000).
  • “GMA” (2.771 million, 475,000 and 315,000, respectively) beat “CBS Mornings” (1.895 million, 291,000 and 174,000, respectively) in Total Viewers (+876,000), Adults 25-54 (+184,000) and Adults 18-49 (+141,000). “GMA” led “CBS Mornings” in Total Viewers and Adults 25-54 for the last 1,398 weeks overall — since w/o 1/18/99.
  • Season to date, “GMA” (2.707 million) is ranking as the No. 1 morning newscast in Total Viewers for the 14th straight year — since the 2012-2013 season, based on Most Current Big Data+Panel Ratings. “GMA” is leading NBC’s “Today” (2.689 million) by 18,000 and “CBS Mornings” (1.861 million) by 846,000. “GMA” is slashing its margins with “Today” by more than half in Adults 25-54 (-59% – 76,000 vs. 185,000).

NOTE: On Friday (10/31/25), “Good Morning America” was also retitled to “GMA-ABC.” The retitled telecast is excluded from the weekly and season averages. ABC’s weekly averages are based on four days (Monday-Thursday).

“GMA3” averaged 1.300 million Total Viewers, 124,000 Women 25-54, and 95,000 Women 18-49 during the week of Oct. 27, 2025, based on Live+Same Day Big Data+Panel Program Ratings from Nielsen Media Research.

  • “GMA3” saw week-to-week gains in all key target demos: Total Viewers (+1% – 1.300 million vs. 1.287 million), Women 25-54 (+1% – 124,000 vs. 123,000) and Women 18-49 (1% – 95,000 vs. 94,000), hitting 13-week highs in both key Women demos — since w/o 7/28/25.
  • Season to date, “GMA3” is beating “NBC News Daily” in Total Viewers (+1% – 1.310 million vs. 1.294 million) and Women 18-49 (+4% – 88,000 vs. 85,000) for the 4th straight season, based on Most Current Big Data+Panel Ratings.
