‘THE VIEW’ RANKS NO. 1 IN HOUSEHOLDS AND TOTAL VIEWERS AMONG ALL DAYTIME NETWORK TALK SHOWS

‘The View’ Is Up Over the Previous Week in Total Viewers, Improves Year to Year Across the Board

Season to Date, ‘The View’ Improves in Both Key Women Demos Versus the Comparable Number of Weeks Last Season to its Strongest in 3 Years, Standing as the Only Daytime Talk Show To Grow in Both Key Women Measures

For the week of May 18, 2026, “The View” ranked No. 1 in Households (1.64 rtg.) and Total Viewers (2.457 million) among the daytime network talk shows, leading NBC’s “TODAY Third Hour” (1.26 rtg. and 1.962 million, respectively), “TODAY with Jenna & Sheinelle” (0.87 rtg. and 1.427 million, respectively) and “NBC News Daily” (0.87 rtg. and 1.351 million, respectively).

  • In addition, “The View” averaged 183,000 Women 25-54 and 154,000 Women 18-49, based on Live+Same Day Big Data Plus Panel Program Ratings from Nielsen Media Research.
  • “The View” was up over the previous week in Total Viewers (+2% – 2.457 million vs. 2.409 million).
  • “The View” improved year to year across the board: Total Viewers (+3% – 2.457 million vs. 2.396 million), Women 25-54 (+6% – 183,000 vs. 172,000) and Women 18-49 (+18% – 154,000 vs. 130,000).
  • Season to date, “The View” is improving in Women 25-54 (+7% – 235,000 vs. 211,000) and Women 18-49 (+5% – 168,000 vs. 160,000) versus the comparable number of weeks last season to its strongest in 3 years — since the 2022-2023 season. In addition, “The View” stands as the only daytime talk show to grow in both key Women measures.
  • Season to date, “The View” is ranking No. 1 in Households (1.74 rtg.) and Total Viewers (2.628 million) among all broadcast daytime talk shows for the 9th straight season.

NOTE: On Wednesday (5/20/26) and Friday (5/22/26), “The View” was retitled to “View-ABC.” The retitled telecasts are excluded from the weekly and season averages. “The View”’s weekly averages are based on three days (Monday, Tuesday and Thursday).
