‘THE VIEW’ RANKS NO. 1 IN HOUSEHOLDS AND TOTAL VIEWERS AMONG ALL DAYTIME NETWORK TALK SHOWS FOR Q1 2026 AND FOR THE WEEK OF MARCH 23
For 1st Quarter 2026, ‘The View’ Draws Its Largest Overall Audience in 5 Years and Best Performance in Both Key Women Demos in 3 Years
‘The View’ Improves on the Previous Quarter by Double Digits in All Key Target Demos, Posts Its Strongest Numbers During Any Quarter in 5 Years in Total Viewers and in Over Two Years in Key Women Demos
‘The View’ Turns in Year-to-Year Gains in Both Key Women Demos for the 12th Straight Week

1st Quarter 2026
For the 1st quarter 2026, “The View” ranked No. 1 in Households (1.86 rtg.) and Total Viewers (2.778 million) among the daytime network talk shows and news programs, leading NBC’s “TODAY Third Hour” (1.42 rtg. and 2.166 million, respectively), “TODAY with Jenna & Sheinelle” (0.87 rtg. and 1.495 million, respectively) and “NBC News Daily” (0.96 rtg. and 1.450 million, respectively).
- In addition, “The View” averaged 242,000 Women 25-54 and 182,000 Women 18-49, based on Most Current Big Data+Panel Ratings.
- “The View” improved on the previous quarter (4Q25) by double digits in all key target demos: Total Viewers (+10% – 2.778 million vs. 2.521 million), Women 25-54 (+11% – 242,000 vs. 219,000) and Women 18-49 (+14% – 182,000 vs. 159,000). “The View” posted its strongest numbers during any quarter in five years in Total Viewers and in over two years in Women 25-54 and Women 18-49 — since 1Q21, 3Q23 and 4Q23, respectively.
- For the second year in a row, “The View” posted gains on the year-ago quarter (1Q25) in Total Viewers (+1% – 2.778 million vs. 2.752 million), Women 25-54 (+13% – 242,000 vs. 214,000) and Women 18-49 (+14% – 160,000 vs. 160,000). “The View” drew its largest overall audience in five years and best performance in both key Women demos in three years during a 1st quarter — since 1Q21 and 1Q23, respectively.
Week of March 23, 2026
For the week of March 23, 2026, “The View” ranked No. 1 in Households (1.73 rtg.) and Total Viewers (2.627 million) among the daytime network talk shows, leading NBC’s “TODAY Third Hour” (1.30 rtg. and 2.029 million, respectively), “TODAY with Jenna & Sheinelle” (0.91 rtg. and 1.432 million, respectively) and “NBC News Daily” (0.85 rtg. and 1.337 million, respectively).
- In addition, “The View” averaged 208,000 Women 25-54 and 164,000 Women 18-49, based on Live+Same Day Big Data Plus Panel Program Ratings from Nielsen Media Research.
- “The View” improved on the year-ago week in Women 25-54 (+5% – 208,000 vs. 199,000) and Women 18-49 (+7% – 164,000 vs. 153,000). In fact, “The View” has turned in year-to-year gains in both key Women demos for the 12th week running.
- Season to date, “The View” is improving in Women 25-54 (+7% – 228,000 vs. 214,000) and Women 18-49 (+3% – 169,000 vs. 164,000) versus the comparable number of weeks last season. In fact, “The View” stands as the only daytime talk show to grow in both key Women measures.
- Season to date, “The View” is ranking No. 1 in Households (1.74 rating) and Total Viewers (2.635 million) among all broadcast daytime talk shows for the 9th straight season.
