‘This Week’ Wins the Season Premiere for the 5th Season Straight
‘This Week’ Grows Year-Over-Year Lead Versus CBS

“This Week with George Stephanopoulos” opened the 2025-2026 season ranked No. 1 in Total Viewers (2.151 million) on Sunday, Sept. 28, 2025, based on Live+Same Day Big Data Plus Panel Program Ratings from Nielsen Media Research.
- “This Week” ranked as the No. 1 Sunday morning public affairs program in Total Viewers during the season premiere on Sunday for the 5th consecutive year — since the 2021-2022 season.
- “This Week” (2.151 million) increased in Total Viewer lead over CBS’ “Face the Nation” 1 and 2 (2.031 million) by 4% (120,000 vs. 115,000 on 9/29/24), versus its lead on the year-ago season premiere week.
George Stephanopoulos is anchor, Martha Raddatz is chief global affairs correspondent and co-anchor, and Jonathan Karl is chief Washington correspondent and co-anchor of “This Week.”
CBS’ numbers are based on averages for both “Face the Nation” and “Face the Nation-2.”
