WITH 8.1 MILLION VIEWERS, THE #1 PROGRAM ON ALL TELEVISION IS ‘ABC WORLD NEWS TONIGHT WITH DAVID MUIR’ FOR THE 12th CONSECUTIVE WEEK — AND THE MOST-WATCHED NEWSCAST IN TOTAL VIEWERS, ADULTS 25-54 AND ADULTS 18-49, OUTDELIVERING NBC BY 2 MILLION AND CBS BY 4.4 MILLION

For the 12th straight week, “World News Tonight with David Muir” stood as the No. 1 program in Total Viewers (8.128 million) on all of broadcast and cable (excluding sports) during the week of June 29, 2026, based on Live+Same Day Big Data Plus Panel Program Ratings from Nielsen Media Research.

• “World News Tonight with David Muir” ranked as the No. 1 newscast in all of broadcast and cable in Total Viewers (8.128 million), Adults 25-54 (964,000) and Adults 18-49 (741,000).
• “World News Tonight” outdelivered “NBC Nightly News” (6.160 million, 856,000 and 612,000, respectively) in Total Viewers (+32%/+1.968 million), Adults 25-54 (+13%/+108,000) and Adults 18-49 (+21%/+129,000).

• “World News Tonight” widened its margins over “NBC Nightly News” week to week in Total Viewers (+30% – 1.968 million vs. 1.517 million), Adults 25-54 (+66% – 108,000 vs. 65,000) and Adults 18-49 (+231% – 129,000 vs. 39,000). “World News Tonight” delivered its largest Total Viewer lead in 6 weeks and its biggest margin in Adults 25-54 in 5 weeks — since the week of 5/18/26 and 5/25/26, respectively.
• “World News Tonight” widened its Total Viewers margin over “NBC Nightly News” year to year by 14% (1.968 million vs. 1.726 million).
• “World News Tonight” posted increases on the previous week across the board: Total Viewers (+3%/+270,000 – 8.128 million vs. 7.858 million), Adults 25-54 (+1%/+9,000 –964,000 vs. 955,000) and Adults 18-49 (+7%/+47,000 –741,000 vs. 694,000). “World News Tonight” hit a 6-week high in overall viewers and a 4-week best in the key Adult news demo — since weeks of 5/18/26 and 6/1/26, respectively.
• “World News Tonight” saw gains on the same week last year in Total Viewers (+9%/+672,000 – 8.128 million vs. 7.456 million) and Adults 18-49 (+2%/+17,000 –741,000 vs. 724,000).
• “World News Tonight” (8.128 million, 964,000 and 741,000, respectively) beat “CBS Evening News” (3.765 million, 501,000 and 398,000, respectively) in Total Viewers (+116%/+4.363 million), Adults 25-54 (+92%/+463,000) and Adults 18-49(+86%/+343,000).

• Season to date, “World News Tonight” (8.328 million) is ranking No. 1 in Total Viewers for the 10th straight year, based on Most Current Big Data+Panel Ratings. “World News Tonight” is leading “NBC Nightly News” (6.512 million) by 1.816 million and “CBS Evening News” (4.066 million) by 4.262 million. In fact, “World News Tonight” is growing its Total Viewer lead over NBC compared to the same point last season (+9% — 1.816 million vs. 1.671 million), its largest in 31 years — since the 1994-1995 season. “World News Tonight” is also delivering its largest Total Viewer season lead over the CBS program in at least 34 years — since at least the 1991-1992 season; the Nielsen electronic database started in September 1991. In addition, “World News Tonight” is delivering its largest season viewership in 4 years, growing in Total Viewers compared to the same point last season (+4%/+336,000 – 8.328 million vs. 7.992 million) — since the 2021-2022 season.
• “World News Tonight” is ranking No. 1 in Adults 25-54 and Adults 18-49 for the 7th season in a row. “World News Tonight” (1.035 million and 756,000, respectively) is leading NBC (935,000 and 652,000, respectively) by 100,000 Adults 25-54 and by 104,000 Adults 18-49. Additionally, “World News Tonight” is widening margins with “CBS Evening News” (525,000 and 383,000, respectively) in Adults 25-54 (+7% – 510,000 vs. 478,000) and Adults 18-49 (+6% – 373,000 vs. 351,000) versus the comparable weeks last season.
