WITH LARGEST DEMO LEAD OVER CBS IN 3 YEARS, ‘THIS WEEK WITH GEORGE STEPHANOPOULOS’ RANKS NO.1 IN TOTAL VIEWERS AND ADULTS 25-54

 

“This Week with George Stephanopoulos” ranked No. 1 in Total Viewers (2.560 million) and Adults 25-54 (435,000) on Sunday, July 20, 2025, based on Live+Same Day Data from Nielsen Media Research.

• “This Week” outperformed CBS’ “Face the Nation” in Total Viewers (+2%/+54,000 – 2.560 million vs. 2.506 million) and Adults 25-54 (+51%/+147,000 – 435,000 vs. 288,000), scoring its largest news demo lead over the CBS program in nearly 3 years — since 9/22/22.  In addition, “This Week” beat the CBS program in Total Viewers for the first time in 7 months – since 12/22/24.
• “This Week” posted double-digit gains week to week in Total Viewers (+14% – 2.560 million vs. 2.248 million) and Adults 25-54 (+31% – 435,000 vs. 332,000), hitting a 4-week high in the key Adult news demo — since 6/22/25.
• “This Week” saw increases year to year in Total Viewers (+4% – 2.560 million vs. 2.462 million) and Adults 25-54 (+6% – 435,000 vs. 411,000).
• Season to date, “This Week” is up over the comparable weeks last season in Total Viewers (+1% – 2.537 million vs. 2.504 million) and Adults 25-54 (+1% – 423,000 vs. 419,000), standing as the only Sunday public affairs program to grow in both measures versus CBS and NBC. “This Week” is beating NBC’s “Meet the Press” by +84,000 Total Viewers (2.537 million vs. 2.453 million) to lead the NBC program for the 4th season in a row.

NOTE: NBC’s “Meet the Press” was preempted for the R&A Open Golf Championship.

George Stephanopoulos is anchor, Martha Raddatz is chief global affairs correspondent and co-anchor, and Jonathan Karl is chief Washington correspondent and co-anchor of “This Week.”

ABC’s “This Week with George Stephanopoulos,” NBC’s “Meet the Press” and Fox’s “Fox News Sunday” each air for 60 minutes, while CBS’ “Face the Nation” airs for 30 minutes.
