Anna O’Brian

Anna O’Brian is an Annie and Emmy^® Award-nominated writer and artist and serves as executive producer on the fifth season of “Big City Greens.”

For over 10 years, she has worked as a writer, storyboard artist and character designer on many highly acclaimed shows, including “We Bare Bears, “Harvey Beaks” and Walt Disney Television Animation’s “Amphibia.” In 2016, she was hired as a storyboard artist on the first season of “Big City Greens” before rising to become a director on the second and third seasons. In 2020, O’Brian was nominated for a Daytime Emmy Award for writing on the series. In 2025, she received an Annie nomination for directing “Big City Greens the Movie: Spacecation.”

She attended the University of Florida and later transferred to CalArts to study animation, where her film, “Good Morning,” was accepted into the 2013 CalArts Producers show.

O’Brian lives in Burbank with her cat, Square.
